Forecast K2 12-16/06/004
Friday-Saturday, a low/trough over Tibet and Kashmir, and a ridge of high over Afghanistan-Uzbekistan. For K2-area this means rather dry conditions, only risk of occasional showers. Then the ridge moves in over K2 and the risk of showers will decrease. From Tuesday more showers again.

Thursday-Saturday there is a low over Tibet and a ridge of high over Afghanistan-Uzbekistan. For K2-area this means rather dry conditions, only risk of occasional showers. Then the ridge moves in over K2 and the risk of showers will decrease.

Drier air is adverted into the area from west during the first day of the period. Just a small chance for some showers but mainly dry weather. An upper ridge will stay mainly over Afghanistan-Pakistan but seems to move slightly eastwards towards end of period.

Starting with a passing trough over Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan and a few showers may also affect K2. Mainly dry weather on Saturday. Then a couple of new troughs will pass K2 giving moist conditions and some showers.

At Tuesday only some local showers, but Wednesday-Friday a low over Tibet will affect the ME-area. It will give moist conditions with several showers. At Friday again only some local shower passing.

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
