Forecast K2 17-21/06/2004
Starting with a low over southeastern Uzbekistan giving moist conditions and quite a lot of showers over K2. From Monday risk of more widespread precipitation due to another low now with center probably over the K2-area.
Jet:
No jet in the K2-area during this period.

Summit:
9000 m: West about 20 m/s, at times somewhat increasing. From Sunday southwest 15-20 m/s.
7500 m: West 10-15 m/s. From Saturday southwest 5-10 m/s.

Weather:

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
