A ridge over Pakistan is giving dry conditions. A trough over Afghanistan and Uzbekistan is stretching over the K2-area with showers and in the same time a trough over Tibet and Kashmir is causing a rather unsettled weather over K2. During the period the trough over Afghanistan and Uzbekistan is the more active.
Jet:
A southwesterly jet over Afghanistan, approaching the K2-area in the end of the period.

Summit:
9000 m: West-southwest 15-20 m/s. From Friday increasing to 20-25 m/s, at times 30-35 m/s.
7500 m: Southwest 5-10 m/s. From Thursday increasing to 10-15 m/s, at the end of the period 20 m/s.

Weather:

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
