Starting with a ridge and mainly dry weather. On Monday a low will probably form over Kashmir giving moist conditions over K2 the following days and some showers. Thursday-Friday perhaps more widespread precipitation.

Jet:
No jet in the K2-area. During the period a couple of minor westerly jets will pass from Uzbekistan to China. Most likely they will stay north of the K2-area.

Summit:
9000 m: West around 15 m/s, but Thursday-Fridag increasing to 20 m/s.
7500 m: West-southwest 5-10 m/s. At Friday 10-15 m/s.

WEATHER

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
