Forecast K2 04-08/06/04
Starting with a passing trough over Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan and a few showers may also affect K2. Mainly dry weather on Saturday. Then a couple of new troughs will pass K2 giving moist conditions and some showers.
Jet:
There will be no jet over the K2-area during this period. The main jet will situated over Kazakhstan and China.

Summit:
9000 m: West-northwest 10-15 m/s increasing to 15-20 m/s. Sunday-Tuesday southwest, at times 20-25 m/s.

7500 m: West-northwest mainly about 5 m/s.

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
