Forecast K2 09-13/06/04
Drier air is adverted into the area from west during the first day of the period. Just a small chance for some showers but mainly dry weather. An upper ridge will stay mainly over Afghanistan-Pakistan but seems to move slightly eastwards towards end of period.
Jet:
No jet in the K2-area during the period. A minor northwesterly jet will pass over Afghanistan during Thursday-Friday.

Summit:
9000 m: Southwest-west 5-10 m/s. From Thursday northwest and during Friday-Saturday temporarily 14-18 m/s.
7500 m: West-southwest 5 m/s, at times less than 5 m/s. From Friday northwest or north and during Saturday temporarily 10 m/s.

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
