Forecast K2 10-14/06/04
Thursday-Saturday there is a low over Tibet and a ridge of high over Afghanistan-Uzbekistan. For K2-area this means rather dry conditions, only risk of occasional showers. Then the ridge moves in over K2 and the risk of showers will decrease.
Jet:
No jet in the K2-area during the period. A minor northwesterly jet will pass over Afghanistan on Thursday.

Summit:
9000 m: West 5-10 m/s. From Friday northwest and increasing to 15-20 m/s. On Saturday at times 20-25 m/s.
7500 m: Southwest about 5 m/s or less turning northwest. Saturday-Sunday increasing to about 10 m/s. Then southwest.

Weather:

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
