Forecast K2 12-16/06/004
Friday-Saturday, a low/trough over Tibet and Kashmir, and a ridge of high over Afghanistan-Uzbekistan. For K2-area this means rather dry conditions, only risk of occasional showers. Then the ridge moves in over K2 and the risk of showers will decrease. From Tuesday more showers again.
Jet:
No jet in the K2-area during the period, but a weak jet over Uzbekistan is coming closer in the end of the period.

Summit:
9000 m: Northwest 10-15 m/s, increasing to 15-20 m/s. Monday backing to west 20-25 m/s.
7500 m: West about 5 m/s or less turning northwest. Saturday and Sunday increasing to about 10 m/s from north. Monday backing to west 10-15 m/s.

Weather:

A weak ridge is situated over Afghanistan. It may at times affect the K2-area during the first days giving only risk of occasional showers. Then it seems to become more unsettled with frequent showers due to lows over Kashmir and Tibet.
